Beautiful! You are on one of the paths of the Camino de Santiago…perhaps you can persuade ML to take you on a (long) walk? 🥾
Vale, ok, but you know I am becoming an older Señor who prefers to be carried around in the comfy luxury of the TARDIS, right? So…eh…how do I say this?

NO. NO. No and NOOOOOO!

But you are completely right, we are close to the heart of the Camino, Santiago de Compostela, and today’s sanctuary in Muxía is part of the Camino.

In fact there are official paths starting from all over Europe that are part of the Camino. ML and I even found a marker for the Camino in the forest in Sinzing a few years ago: Sinzing is only a few kilometres from Regensburg. Can you imagine WALKING all that way? It took us three full days to drive it!

So I stick to the TARDIS but have full respect for those who walk it. ML has met lots of people walking and they have been amazing. I tip my Spanish gentleman head to them!

That is all for us in Spain! Today we leave for northern Portugal, where the forecast from Monday onwards is SUN. Que bien!

I sure did enjoy the beach right in front of our door here in Malpica though. Yesterday evening all the surfers came out, so I got to meet some nice new amigos who gave me pets and threw my ball for me. This is a very dog-friendly part of Spain.

Goodbye apartment with a sea view. Cross one off ML’s bucket list.

Olá amigos! That is my Portuguese for you as now we are in the land of lots of “sh” sounds (“ah-MEE-goosh”). We arrived after a five hour drive with a couple of stops yesterday and we really like our leeetle apartment. It is much smaller and no sea view, but it is toasty warm, has an elevator, comfy bed, and parking for the TARDIS in the building. There is still a lovely view of the estuary and a great surfing beach only 3 minutes’ walk away. Ojalá!

Today I had my first Portuguese surfing session.

Then I had my first Portuguese post-surf sofa recovery time.

Then we went to a leeetle town called Ponte de Lima where it was photo shoot time. La verdad, the truth was that my gentlemanly self was pretty tired, but I still did my best posing. ML has promised me the day off tomorrow to rest. That sounds muy bueno to me!
