Same. And Chew has provided me with so much love when I've been depressed. He is the best dog, if not the best behaved dog.Exactly. I have concluded recently that I am ok not having the perfect trained dog but she has the best life

They are perfect for us, that's really all that matters I reckonHe is the best dog, if not the best behaved dog.

yes, agree totally. I watched Coco & OH at training last night. Coco was sat close into OH, looking up at him, completely attentive, completely chuffed with what he had done, and definitely smiling. And that made me smile.I feel so sorry for him he doesn't get the simple pleasure of being with a dog . When Iver comes back when I call him or Rory smiles at me on his walk are treasures to me. He gets none of that. Poor man he wants his way at the cost of the real pleasure of dogs.
And why should they be?a perfect dog
That’s no life for a dog.....Harley is a long way from being perfectly trained, but she’s mine and she brings so much joy and love every Day.You know, hearing that, I'm hoping he's not nearly as draconian with his dogs as he makes out. It sounds like he was trying very hard (and failing very hard) to impress you. Still a bumhut (I'm trademarking that) but just maybe his dogs aren't as miserable as we're imagining. OR I'm just trying to make myself feel better.Quite honestly , I took a lot of his statements with a very liberal pinch of salt , for example he told me that he owns two stud dogs who can be taken for walks with his on heat bitches but will ignore them unless give the command to mount . Stuff of dreams or nightmares I thought .
I will never ever have a perfect dog , I dont believe that they exist and if they do , their lives must be a complete misery xx
Maybe he was, a bit like the (very) elderly man I encountered a little while ago who unnerved Wispa. She clearly wasn’t happy as he walked towards us and barked at him when he paused to speak (Tuppence was just doing her own thing as usual). He insisted on trying to talk to her and when I apologised for her barking and asked him to move on as he was blocking the path he said it must be a ‘testosterone thing’ and ‘he’ (Wispa!) obviously saw him as competition! It sounds like he was trying very hard (and failing very hard) to impress you.
Literally toxic masculinity! Seriously though, toxic maculinity and authoritarian dog training (and parenting) really do go together.Maybe he was, a bit like the (very) elderly man I encountered a little while ago who unnerved Wispa. But I think you do have two that are perfect for you. I think we all have our 'perfect dogs' maybe just not in other people's eyes....well unless on here and every dog is perfectI will never ever have a perfect dog
Yes, I'm sure you are right.Seriously though, toxic maculinity and authoritarian dog training (and parenting) really do go together.

This awful creature was a cockerpoo puppy by the way.
