Steve is currently rebuilding our big retaining wall at the front of the property. Poor thing, very nearly 60 and out there every day with the jackhammer etc but doing a stellar job
Today a man walked up to him and asked if he had seen a 7 month old yellow labrador who had escaped from a house around the corner. Steve said no but joined the search. He looked all around the golf course which is only 2 streets away and then got in the car and drove around. He spotted a yellow flash running out from someone's garage with a big piece of cardboard in his mouth that he commenced throwing around in delight. Yep, it was Donut. He called him and Donut ran up to him so he scooped him up and carried the madly wriggling bundle of fur (who was also madly licking his face at the same time) and delivered him home to the husband, wife and young daughter who were so grateful
Apparently when he got home a very suspicious Maxx gave him a long sniff and waddled away in disgust by the fact that Steve had been cavorting with another dog! I got home from the office and after the usual bouncing off the walls in delight Maxx sat on my foot and told me his problems lol
