They say elephants don’t forget...

Homer is not a dog he’s a flipping elephant!

Last summer we took Homer to the peace and quiet of the Lake District, all lovely and calm until day three when two fighter jets flew at speed down the valley which H did not like at all.

Tuesday was the 100th anniversary RAF fly past, some of which came over our house. We are on the flight path to Heathrow so planes are normal for us. First few RAF planes were fine then a couple of jets came over at about 10 past 1pm not fast nor low, but enough for H to remember he didn’t like jet planes so he jumps up on top of his cage. Today, Wednesday at 1:05 exactly H jumps up onto his cage and is anxious. No jets in sight!

Hubby went up to London to see them all, Homer and I saw some from the upstairs window but I tried to play it all very calm and no fuss.

Homer is getting a lot better and we are getting better managing him. He just doesn’t miss a thing!

And how he’s learnt to tell the time!
He still wakes us up at 5 minutes before the alarm, and knows when it’s Tuesday and the dustbin men come down the street.
