Three nights running ..

Reuben has poo`d in the bedroom . He has always been brilliant overnight , hand on heart not a wee let alone a poo . Nothing has changed food wise or routine wise , I take him out at around 9 for the opportunity to wee and poo, then Paul takes him out again after I`ve gone to bed , this last time would be around 10.30 ish .
The only thing that has happened is that on Friday, one of my elder grandsons cut the grass for us and Reuben ate some of the old grass that had dropped off the underside of the mower . The grass was cut without the grass box on , and again on Sunday , I caught him eating some of the dried clippings . Yesterday morning I cut the grass again with the box on to collect all the dried grass but not before the little (?) demon had snook past me and eaten a bit more . Its got to be the dried grass , given that his accidents were over the weekend and then last night , all times when he had eaten some .He isn't poorly , is eating and drinking , going for his walks and is his usual playful self . I have just taken him for an extra walk to give him the chance to poo before settle time , but he hasn't done one . Unfortunately on walks he tends to go into the undergrowth to poo so I cant see what he is offering up ! His accidents are not sloppy , they are firm but on examination ( wearing gloves ) it appears that they are full of vegetation . I will take him out as usual late evening , and if he has another overnight accident , its the Vets in the morning . I bought some of that Simple solution from PAH , and treated the carpet , and really don't know what else I can do , fingers crossed for tonight xx

Could it be something to do with the time change? Mine always get a bit offbeat after the clocks change,
If it is the grass clippings then it will probably settle.
Either way, I hope it sorts itself out quickly Kate.

I don't think its the time change because he has his first accident on Saturday early hours of the morning and the clocks hadn't been changed then . I think I just have to let the vegetation work its way out of his system , there are no clippings left for the monkey to munch on now but I will take him to the Vets if it happens again tonight . I hope it settles quickly , the smell wakes me ,usually around 2 in the morning , so its a case of getting up and cleaning up , by which time I am wide awake !! Pups eh ? xx

Ripple has always been a grass muncher, with uncollected mown grass (from our local rec) being his favourite  . This causes absolute chaos with his pooing, luckily he barks to ask to go out in the night. Toffee, who doesn’t eat too much vegetation, just poos in his crate in the night if he needs to go, no barking at all.

Sounds like Reuben is a mixture of the two - grass eating causing extra poos and not asking to go out. I would definitely think it’s the cut grass as you can see it in his poo, seems like some of them just get a taste for it.
