Sorry for the delay in responding, my brain was just overloaded and it needed a time out 
That evening Hugo was super tired but no more poops so I felt he just really needed rest now that he didn't have a sore tummy, so we cuddled lots and lots 
Following morning he had a wonderful solid poop and was back to 100% himself. I am quite convinced he ended up with a tummy bug from that poop he accidentally stuck his face into. Thanks again for the support, it's so stressful when our pups are not themselves.
