Travels with my dog.

We have had a wonderful time! Lots of nice people and on the first evening we purely by chance met up with an old friend who has moved away and who we hadn't seen for eleven years! Lots of catching up to do there! Best of all has been Joy's reaction to it. She has absolutely taken everything in her stride, remaining calm and settled, friendly with everyone, and so many people have commented that she's a lovely dog. Lots of photos taken, here are a few.IMG_20190803_205150.jpgIMG-20190803-WA0002.jpgIMG_20190803_200914.jpgIMG_20190804_092424.jpgIMG_20190803_201134.jpg

We stayed an extra night as we were having such a good time! Massive thunderstorm and heavy rain but it had stopped in time for me to take the tent down today. Karen kindly took a flattering photo of me squashing the air out of it while Joy looked on, bemused, then we couldn't move the motor home because of the mud so the farmer, who is an absolutely lovely man, had to pull us out with his tractor. Home now, showered and feeling clean again! Apart from a short walk this afternoon Joy has done nothing but sleep. Oh, and eat of course! Looking forward to the next one which is in a couple of weeks time in Wales!IMG-20190805-WA0000.jpgIMG-20190805-WA0003.jpg

Our tent is a 6 person one so pretty big. We both lay on it to get the air out of it. It has to fit into it’s own suitcase which is a skill in itself getting the size correct. We always do a ‘high five’ when we’ve done it
Yes, mine also has to fit into it's own suitcase and will have to come out again on the next fine day to dry and then be refolded to go back in. Hard work, but so well worth it! All ready then for the next adventure!

I can't believe GGJ is supervising so sensibly! Well, maybe I can - she is GGJ after all 🙂

If I lay down like that near Ella, she would be bouncing in my face, play bowing, possibly barking and definitely shoving a toy in my face!
