I convince myself he’s a good lad then I see actual well behaved dogs and I’m just like oh well.. at least he’s cute 
How does she ride in the car? Is the footwell so big to accommodate her? Snowie takes up almost the entire backseat of my car when he lies down.

Liz's car is a little Citigo. No room for a crate or anything and I don't think she'd stay on the back seat but with the passenger seat pushed right back she fits snuggly in the foot well where she snoozes happily. It's one of the advantages of being a small Labrador!
On the way home now, holiday over, but not the adventure!

Yes, she's refused to let me pay for Joy's new bed or her food. She wouldn't let me do anything except for a little light spice grinding and some wine pouring.She has sent me off today with a packed lunch! Last time that happened I was probably about ten! A truly lovely friend indeed! I look forward to spoiling her in the same way and Joy and I will send her flowers tomorrow.I love how welcoming your friend has been to little Joy!

We're off again tomorrow afternoon! Just to Nottingham again to stay with my brother and sister in law for the Bank Holiday weekend, but via a slightly different route involving two trains rather than three as before. I've put the rucksack on the spare room bed along with some clothes to pack and Joy keeps going in to look at them then comes out again and flops down, sighing heavily! I'm looking forward to it. It's much more fun travelling with a dog than on your own!
