Treat bags

I was just about to order my 3rd CLIX treat bag https://www.amazon.co.uk/Company-An...qid=1533198345&sr=1-10&keywords=dog+treat+bag in 6 months, and suddenly thought 'I wonder what others use?'

Things I like in the CLIX bag:
- slide and clip attachments (I put the slide on my hip pocket and clip it onto a belt loop, so if we're running about it's double secured)
- drawstring open/close keeps kibble in
- zip pocket at back where I keep poo bags and a couple of piritin tablets

Things I don't like:
- not very robust; the zip pocket lining starts to delaminate quickly, leaving plasticky bits flaking around the place, and the fabric round the drawstring pulls through and starts fraying pretty quickly
- not waterproof - when we've been caught in the rain, we end up with soggy kibble.
- quite bulky for such a small bag
- the slide and clip attachments are plasticky and not easy to handle with cold or wet hands.
- Not very easy to clean.

They all seem around the same price. Are there any others you recommend?

I love my Doggone Good ones: https://www.traininglines.co.uk/doggone-good-rapid-rewards-training-treat-pouch.html. I wear one on each hip, on a webbing belt - one for treats, the other for toys. They have good magnetic fastening which keeps the snow out for the most part and make it much easier to open than the drawstring ones, which I have used in the past. Using the webbing belt means it doesn't matter what I'm wearing, I just pick up my treat bag belt and go.

The zipped pocket at the back is plenty big enough for a mobile phone and keys. A poo bag slot on each side. Inside, there is a main compartment and a separate one closed with a bit of velcro so you can keep two types of treat separate (although I don't tend to use that). And a front pocket big enough for a clicker and whistle.

It holds a good amount of treats; stays quite flat when there aren't many, and bulks out as you put more in.
I put them in the washing machine every now and again and they come out looking just like new. I can't remember when I bought them, but probably about three years ago, and they're getting to the point where I need to replace them, as the zips on the back have gone and on two of the bags, one of the belt loops has worn through. But I do wear them a lot, don't treat them very kindly and would say I have had exceptional value for money from them.

I use the same one as @snowbunny. The inside of the bag is very robust, never torn or worn away, despite being chucked in the washing machine. The magnetic closure is the main feature for me, means I can easily slip my hand in grab treats and close it without much effort :)

I've got a 'doggone good' too.

I had a clix and really liked it but the 'doggone good' was recommended by a trainer as it is big enough for a tennis ball (I was previously carrying the tennis ball in my bra to stop Plum seeing it!)

When the clix expired I prevaricated over the doggone coz of the price but I'm glad I took the leap because I love, it for all the reasons described and the magnetic closure is much easier than a drawstring. If my doggone expired I'd definitely get another.

I knew I shouldn't have gone ahead and ordered a new one without consulting this Forum first! I don't think I like the one I've just bought!

This Doggone one certainly looks good, Ilike the idea of space for a jackpot treat:)

Doggone here too. There's so many pockets for poo bags, clicker, jackpots....Mine's been washed loads & shows no sign of wear. I LOVE it.

I have a plastic clip for a tennis ball (like the lady tennis players used to have) - which I clip to my belt loop.

Doggone here as well. It also gets the stamp of approval from all the trainers I know. I frequently have 3 types of treat in the pouch so I can switch easily depending upon the dog.
