Updates on Mas.

Had this text on my phone when I woke up from OH.


I’ve called his morning and he has had a good night and is eating and letting them know he is there

No poo yet

But also no runny stuff either so we are basically waiting to see if it’s blocked again or forming

He has had walks and wees and is eating and has let them know all night that he is there , she said “ he is bright and bubbly and you wouldn’t know anything was wrong with him by looking at how he is behaving”

Not sure if that’s good or not but I’m going with good!!

So need to wait for handover to vets and see what they think but at least he is no worse !

If he’s eating and drinking etc do you think they would let me take him out for a walk?

I could bag up his poo if he did one? So they could see it?

Or would that be too hard for him do you think? Me taking him out and taking him back to the vets?

I’m just Absolutley panicking this morning that something bad is going to happen and his last memories are going to be of being stuck in a cage being poked with needles for a week

I think you should ask too.
If he is otherwise normal, eating drinking and weeing he sounds well enough to go out with you. I think you probably would both benefit from that.

If you have the time to get down there (I know you have a lot of other obligations that you are also juggling), then go. Even if they don't let you walk him (which they should do) just sitting with him would help you and him.

I would also ask if I could visit/ take him for a walk, if only to make yourself feel better.

I'm hitting the hay early tonight and hoping that I'll wake up tomorrow to a nice virtual Mas poo.

No harm in asking if you can take him out for a stroll around the building. They can only say no.

Vets just rang. I have an hour window to be able to walk him before the next meds are due.

Never has a poo been more eagerly anticipated by so many, over such a geographical spread

Took him out - -10 minute walk to the field off lead (which OH having some type of panic attack in case he eats something) within 2 minutes of being on the field he had a poo!!

Plus side: obviously had enough control to hold it to a place he was comfortable

Down side: still very very runny - vets did say that it’s a marked improvement to what it was though.
