Re. aspiration....accuracy depends on the type of lump. It’s not accurate for some things. It’s very accurate for other types of lump with a distinctive cell type. Vets know when to advise aspiration and when to go straight to removal.

Absolutely what @Oberon says Joy. Hattie has several lumps one was removed the rest aspirated, she checks them regularly. Trust your vet. xx

I am very sorry to read your news. I would certainly have the lump removed if she was my dog, the vet I used to work for, said while an animal is alive, they have a 50/50% chance of recovery, if nothing is done, they have no chance. Dogs are very resilient and cope well with surgery.
