Winter has turned! It has jumped from freezing cold to spring-like warmth almost overnight thank goodness. That was our last ever winter and I say good riddance!

I must say, while we still get wintery weather here in Perth, it's nothing like Melbourne. So many lovely mid 20s days throughout winter

I said to Steve the other day "If our marriage survives this move and house sale, it will survive anything!" Between sorting, packing, renovating, keeping the house clean ready for open homes (soon) - GAH!!

Today we moved the king size mattress from upstairs to downstairs as we are dressing the downstairs bedroom as the main bedroom. It got jammed halfway down due to a low beam that we didn't factor into the exercise. Somehow 61 year old Steve heaved it out of it's deadlock and got it down. I said "you know we will laugh about this one day"...and I got The Look

You will honestly. We are two years down the line from our big move (and we only moved to the next village….but still the same amount of work involved) and then a big renovation to our new home. There were many highs but plenty of lows. We have started to reminisce…..and laugh

We've had a thunderstorm thisevening. Nothing spectacular and beautiful like @Atemas on Friday, just a good old West Yorkshire downpour with a fair bit of banging and flashing. Joy has studiously ignored it, (after all it was Kong Time and it's important to prioritise these things) but I sat in the bay window ( with it open) and enjoyed it. The garden needed it and the air smells lovely now.

I had my indoor plants outside yesterday (in fact they are still there) enjoying the summer rain. They love it.

Early this morning - the most amazing sky with . Red and I just stood and marvelled at it. Strangely it wasn’t and hadn’t been raining ……but it did later
