Sutures are out but he still has to wear a cone for a couple of days because it’s in such a delicate area they just want to make sure he doesn’t scratch/rub it while it finishes healing.

He’s begrudgingly accepted his fate, he has become one with the cone

Honestly, I think I’m more upset than he is It bled some which got me worried that the stitches came out too soon, but I had to remind myself a little bit of bleeding is normal. So much harder when it’s your own baby!

Took the cone off last night, though he may not look like it- he was very happy to be cone free!

There was a hard dark scab but he already rubbed it off.. hopefully that doesn’t cause any issues

Just to add—I cleaned it with some Hibitane, which removed the small amount of blood from where the scab came off. There’s fresh pink skin where the scab was, which I believe is normal. It actually looks good!
