We're back!

Here we are, GGJ and me back from our holiday!
We're sorry that we didn't post sooner, but we have been busy catching up with local friends, comforting Joy's dogsitter who fell totally in love with her and was in tears when she handed her back, and keeping up with all the messages from the lovely group of people who I was on holiday with ( not to mention the post holiday washing!)
Anyway, we are Back, as GGJ would say, and I have to say that this particular holiday has honestly been one of the best things I've ever done. Such a great group of people and such an amazing country with an incredible history. I will keep in touch with several of the people I met and one of them is already coming up to stay for a weekend in October, which I'm really looking forward to. Best of all though is that I have found the loveliest person to look after my GGJ, a very kind, calm and gentle person, which is just what my girl needs. She sent me photos and videos every day and I could clearly see that Joy was relaxed and happy in them. I feel that frees me up to do more travelling, which I absolutely love ( although not quite as much as GGJ!)
A few more photos....20220907_150058.jpg20220912_131747.jpg20220914_084532.jpg20220915_104419.jpg20220915_103817.jpg20220915_154656.jpg20220916_190604.jpg

That was my 17th visit to Turkey, so you probably can gather that I absolutely love it! As for where I went..... well, I think the best way to describe it is 'Just about everywhere apart from the dangerous bits. '
GGJ and I are rather snoozy now, so are signing off, but will be back soon with our usual enthusiasm!

Lovely to see your photos, as you may remember my sister and BIL have just come back after an archaeological cruise, so I can see some of the things she probably saw as well.

How fortunate you are to have found such a good dog sitter.
