I seem to remember a similar thread about three years ago at The Other Place. Thinking back, my alternative names for little puppy Joy were far less like endearments than they are now. I feel a bit guilty. The poor little pup was only doing her best to grow into the lovely dog she is now, after all!

This morning Maxx was really engaged and being so good and suddenly spotted his mate Rupert with his owners up on the footpath. He took off like a rocket. I whistled and he stopped, looked at me over his shoulder and I SWEAR he shrugged, then kept going

So now he additionally has 'ComeBackHereYouLLittleSh!t!'

Someone I know still refers to her (burly, adult) son as "little Bennie" so you aren't alone. I'm sure Rowan will always be our little Pickle.

Maxx, on limited activity, is currently following Steve everywhere. He 'helped' clean the glass sliding door and now he is 'helping' in the garden by removing bits of plants out of the bin that were just put in and trotting them back to Steve. It's hilarious. So he is now officially 'Dad's little helper'
