What did you eat Ripple?

Oh poor Bear and Alex, hope they're feeling better soon @Aitch.

I wonder if its a bit like people this time of year? Schools back, people back to work and routines after holidays, picking up lurgies left right and centre; maybe a lot of dogs have had different routines (like owners being on holiday), so returning to the regular habits means they're more likely to pick up bugs? Plus the change in seasons means different bacteria, parasites etc. for a different time of year... Just an idle mulling really :hmm:

I'm sorry that you're dealing with all this on your own, Steffi. It's like when your kid/s wakes up, pukes all over themselves and the bed and the carpet, and the carpet on the way to the bathroom, and then all over the bathroom for good measure. You've just got to knuckle down and clean it, but it's totally overwhelming in the moment. I hope Ripple's feeling better this morning.

Ripple is obviously feeling loads better as he took off after a deer in the garden this morning, he has never chased them before so I was really taken by surprise. I had Toffee with me as well so I couldn't do a lot about it until I had got him back indoors. Ripple then proceeded to charge all over the vegetable garden obviously following all the deer scent:facepalm:.

I was really worried that he might go through the lade, which is one boundary of our land, out into the fields, or eat masses of deer poo and start his diarrhoea off again.
Eventually when I was at the bottom of the garden I saw him going back to the door so dashed back to get him inside. A quick examine of his mouth showed he hadn't actually eaten any poo :whew: , so that was a huge relief.

Toffee was upset by me shouting to Ripple, and Ripple was in a complete state of excitement, so I had lots of calming down to do before I could even have my morning tea .

All is now calm, everybody is fed and the boys are asleep. Lesson learned: don't under estimate how quickly a Labrador can recover from an upset tummy.
