Joy and I mostly potter around together. Both usually up for a wee about 5 ish, she has her breakfast, I sometimes have a cup of herbal tea, then both back to bed and sleep until 7-7.30 ish. Joy waits outside the bathroom on her landing bed while I get ready, then she watches me making my breakfast and helps to eat the toast. Off for the main walk of the day at about 9, having usually had a quick wipe round in the kitchen and put some washing in. Walk, swim, play with friends if we see them, play Find it and do a spot of other stuff if we don't. Usually home after a couple of hours. Joy watches me have my coffee and either trots round after me while I do whatever needs doing (we both much prefer gardening to housework) or snoozes in her landing bed while I go out for provisions. Lunch for me, then a sit down and a read and usually a snooze for about 15 minutes, Joy by my side. Afternoon walk is shorter, normally 20 - 30 minutes, followed by a play in the garden, weather permitting. Tea for Joy after this, 4.30- 5 ish.
She then watches me prepare my evening meal and is very helpful with clearing up any food that gets dropped, don't know how I'd manage without her. She sits with me often sighing heavily (she has just now!) while I check e mails, catch up with MLF etc. She likes to sit with me while I eat, usually about 7.30 and sometimes manages to help with the pre-wash of plates in the dishwasher. Then it's time to settle down for the evening. If I have a glass of wine, she has a Kong, and we watch TV and snooze or read and snooze or listen to music and snooze, occasionally checking what all of you are up to until bed, probably around 11.30 after a quick wee for both. Very companionable days!
