I feel like we are back to puppy hood where my life revolves around waiting for signs of needing the toilet!

When Rory was very ill I had to sleep with him for a long time. He healed beautifully and it improved my sex life too. Win win

I’m trying incredibly hard not to comment on the fact that sleeping with a dog improves your sex life.

I hate the crying after anaesthesia, it’s so heart wrenching.

I second the cooperative care training. It will keep you both busy and do something useful at the same time

Solstice always cried for days post anaesthetic and I found it heartbreaking every time. I was dreading the same when Joy was spayed, but she never even made a squeak. It amazes me how different they are.

Much happier today! But the restricted vet food isn’t going well, he seems so hungry! So we are giving him small amounts of kibble which seems to be helping

Why is he on vets food? We were just told to feed Stanley as normal if he was ok x

Because I think my vets offer that bloody food for everything and OH will buy snake oil if he’s told too

I’ve stuck it in a kong for him. He’s happy enough and it’s keeping him busy

Considering it’s only been 24 hours it seems to be healing well although the bruising is quite intense!

(Am taking a daily photo to monitor to make sure it gets better not worse... not because I like dog cock shots )

Oh dear, that does look sore doesn't it. Will the spare skin reduce or will he always have a "spare change purse" to carry around?

Vets appointment this morning for his 3 day check up - which is well timed to be honest as after yesterday where he was very chirpy most of the day he slept all night and is still very sleepy this morning.
I’m more than likely being paranoid (moi?!) but glad to have someone professional look over it as I think it looks more swollen today.
