Just back from vets, slightly swollen but she thinks that’s probably just where he’s overdone it slightly! No issues and wound is lovely and dry.

We bought him a furry cows ear yesterday, the lack of exercise is sending him a bit batty now. We are taking him out on lead 4 times a day for 10 minute bursts... but this is a dog that is used to being on the go constantly.

Anyway so I thought, a nice new chewy will keep him entertained for a bit.

Apart from the fact that he was totally freaked out by it I think the fur threw him!

So much for a quiet calm activity huh?

This was after a good 2 hour nap, a slow walk in the woods with lots of sniffing, some cooperative care training AND then some scent work.

I thought, ooh I will give him that ear now and he should settle for a bit.

Hmmm.

He’s got the hang of it now!

For those of you with dogs who like to chew (@SteffiS I'm thinking of toffee) this are brilliant! Usually he’s through a pigs ear in seconds but he’s had this for a good 30 minutes and still not even halfway through it (granted 10 minutes of that was flinging it around to see if it was going to eat him!)

Oh dear, that does look sore doesn't it. Will the spare skin reduce or will he always have a "spare change purse" to carry around?
