Otter's Journey....

Wound looks great...SO much smaller than a TPLO!
Yes, TPLO wounds are much more complex too, I have read horror stories about those! This is just a couple of inches, plus they are self -dissolving, which for Otter is a godsend. We are supposed to visit our own vet for a wound check 10 days post-op, tbh though I may not bother, as long of course, as the wound continues to improve.

@SwampDonkey I have an x large one in the garage which has sat there for 4 years? Can't imagine the circumstances where Monty would be crated again.also got a large metal pen to wrap around it. Let me know if you are interested. Free to you 😁😁😁 it might be 46 inches.
thanks for your kind offer
I'm just going to have a look at some more today. What type of metal pen is it please?

It looks just like the one Otter is in, with a side door and a front door, though has a metal tray rather than plastic (which is good if they are a chewer, but maybe a bit less cosy) it is big though, it just fitted under our kitchen work surfaces, and could house an adult Alsatian, you would probably have to section it off in the early days.

5 days post op

It is clear that Otter the Potter is feeling better. This morning from 6 am, she was on jumping beans! By 9 am, I think I had exhausted my ideas list (and myself..). I chucked a box, complete with messy stuffing, and a hidden lamb skin chew in the bottom. It worked a treat, for all of 39 seconds....methinks I need to head to 101 forum ideas!

Anyhow, here is Miss BusyOttyBotty, :inlove:
