Otter's Journey....

@Beanwood, it is difficult at that age to keep them quiet, I had to resort to tranquillisers for Drift, which in a way made him worse when they wore off. I wish now that I had taken him out in the car, to perhaps a children's playground, so that he could watch them play, or a car park at Waitrose or Tesco etc so that he could people watch, maybe you could try that?

I did take Otter out for a drive yesterday. Not to people watch, that's Otter's idea of borrringggg!!! :facepalm:Just to absorb some interesting scents through the windows We are having to be a bit careful with the car, as we need a bit of desensitisation first. There is a lot of behaviour work I need to look at...but first things first..

Day 8 Post Op

Dialling back on exercise, just brief 1 min wee breaks for today. Keeping her in the "crate with pen" set up though so at least she can move around freely. Upped her meds to help calm her. I have been applying gentle warm compress with a bit of PROM afterwards. The swelling looks better, but might be my imagination. The wound looks good.

I have a camera fixed on her so can see what she is up too. So far the postman popped a parcel through the kitchen window. Otter ate that. The parcel somehow stayed on the windowsill!

One thing I noticed today is how much she has GROWN!

I want to live somewhere where the postman pops a parcel through the kitchen window.
Our postman's been delivering to us for 20 years! He leaves things we ever he sees fit if we are not here, and also delivers to my daughters workplace, where he greets her loudly and enthusiastically on a daily basis -- and passes the post to her through the window!

As for the courier from a well known delivery firm, we are on first name terms as well, ever since as a teenager my daughter started online shopping. It's not unknown for him to walk into the kitchen if the doors are open!

Billy our postman is great. We have had him for so long I can't remember, when he started our village round. If I am out he will put a small parcel through the cat flap or if its a big one in the green house. I think giving him a bottle at Christmas oils the wheels too
