GGJ is at the Vet's.

Thank heaven it isn't raining as it is the very devil keeping the bandage dry. I had a GSP who must have cut every paw on glass and spattered blood over the vet's waiting room. People complain about dog faeces but there is even worse rubbish thrown by people, ie glass  GGJ sounds as if she has been a good, brave girl as has her mother :)
They've given me a plastic sock type thing to help keep it dry and she's on very limited exercise for now and back to the vet on Wednesday. We have had a snoozy and cuddly evening and its bedtime soon.

Poor you and GGJ! Sending  and some late :thelambiesarecoming: for quick healing. She does look adorable in her little pink wrap, so I imagine she'll get lots of good "aawwwws" and sympathy from everyone she sees. Enjoy your sardines, Joy!

The best boot I have every had, was a drip bag that the vet gave me. It stay on and kept Robbie's foot dry and clean.
Yes, a drip bag is what the vet gave me and it's worked OK so far but was slipping on the wet leaves this morning, so I might have a look at Pawz as mentioned by Swampy. Joy seems to have slept well, she's eaten her breakfast with her usual enthusiasm and has happily crunched her antibiotic tablet. She's waggy and affectionate, still perhaps a tiny bit subdued but not worryingly so. We'll just have a quiet and calm day (I hope!)

I've used the Pawz with mixed results. In general they're great, but sometimes they just don't stay on well. I think it's down to the shape of the wrapping of the bandage, and where the wound is. Definitely worth a try though, because when they work, they work well.

About half an hour ago Joy walked over to where her lead was hanging, gave it a lick then gave me The Look! Clever girl! We've had another ten minute on lead walk and I have ordered some Pawz, which should arrive tomorrow. While we were out a young woman who we've not met before said to Joy, 'I hope you get well soon'!
