Alto's big adventure

You may remember my posts about my daughter, her partner and their dog Alto, who is a three-year old rescue pitbull/boxer/who-knows-what mix. They live in Brooklyn... with Alto nicknamed the NYPD (New York Puppy Dog).

Until now, that is!!! They are all three moving... To Helsinki, in Finnland! Next week!! Their flight is on Monday evening. Alto has been practicing getting used to the crate. I am so excited that they will be closer to me, and am going to visit them in February.

Goodbye, New York, hello new adventures in Finnland!

I am sure Alto will be fine, but I don't think Ari (my daughter) will sleep a wink, worrying about her baby down in the hold!

I am always very grateful that I am allowed to take my dog (Brogan and now Carbon) in the cabin with me as I always say otherwise you'd have to anesthetise me for the entire flight. It's the big reason I don't get a second dog as he'd have to go in the hold. HOWEVER a friend of mine has flown her dogs several times, including between France and the US. She has used an agency each time and swears by them: her girls came out the other side just fine.
