I’m afraid I don’t use recipes for curry!! And we buy a lovely locally-made garam masala that makes all the difference—very red with paprika. I use a bit of this and a bit of that. Tons of garlic. Lots of fresh ginger through the microplane. Mustard seeds (I prefer black over yellow). Fennel seeds. Fresh curry leaves are essential!! Etc etc. I once watched a program that was searching for the ultimate curry bunny (typical Durban curry dish). I was inspired by what I saw and tried to replicate it. My curry is DELICIOUS!! I know, one shouldn’t toot one’s own horn!!

If you've already touched the books, you have then touched lots of other things after that. What about your car, clothes etc.?

My friend is a nurse and has a four year old son with autism. He isn't toilet trained and will only wear one specific brand of nappy. She's run out, can't get anymore and can't get any other nappies in him.

I found the nappies this morning! Bought one pack and sent a message to a couple of friends to come and grab a couple of packs (one per person) so there are enough nappies for the next week.

I'm feeling so relieved that we've been able to help, even just a little bit.

We got toilet paper today. Our supermarkets are now open 8am-8pm to allow them to restock and I was able to get everything I needed this morning. I've bought some brands that I've never heard of and have decided on meals based on what I could get but I was able to buy all my veggies, meats, toilet rolls, cleaning spray, bread, milk and eggs to get us through a few days (my normal shopping amount).

The sense of relief in the store was obvious as people realised that there was stock.

Given that our farmers have come out and advised that they produce enough food to support 75million people (Australia has a population of 24million), we really should be ok.

My kibble is usually free delivery over £29 but they sent me an email saying it will now be £6.99 for orders over £29 and £9.99 for orders under that amount, luckily I’ve got enough for several weeks. But I can’t decide if this is profiteering or a necessity.

I bought a large bag of Skinners from Amazon on Sunday night as it was a bargain at £17.70, delivered next day. I was going to post here , but by Monday night it was over £30, and now it's over £50.
I know Amazon does this often with things that are low stock, but this price hike is shocking.
