Benson is off to be a playmate today! He is so excited. He has his lunchbox packed, kong, a toy and a few treats. He is only going next door ( we only have one neighbour here 
It made me smile to see OH, leaving Benson at the gate, he has to go all by himself...carrying his little bag.

Tonight is the first night since November that I haven't lit the stove! I put the heating on for an hour and a half thisevening but that was all that was needed. Come the Autumn I will no doubt be posting that lighting the stove again has made me smile, but just now this is a good feeling!

Every time OH and I hug, Ella comes over and barks at us.
This afternoon I was preparing the dinner and OH walked over to give me a hug but Ella must not have noticed as there was no barking. After a moment of silence, OH and I simultaneously started barking and then burst out laughing. It's a good job I married someone as weird as me

Today I gave cycling advice then had a chuckle at my impulsive self. I always speak before thinking. I am lacking the brain filter that other folks have. (Yes, it gets me in trouble - of course it does!)
During today’s Tatze walk a bloke was struggling to cycle up our hill, swearing away to himself - it’s a very steep hill indeed.
He stopped, puffing and panting and I said (at a social distance) “My husband‘s a cyclist, can I give you some advice?” He said ‘NO’ very grumpily, clearly very cross with himself.
So I gave him the advice anyway (he was in very much the wrong gear). He said “OK” just as unhappily and went on his way.
I phoned Mr Boogs with the story and he said “I’m proud of you, I never knew you took any notice when I talk cycling.”

Benson had a lovely day! My neighbour is a doctor, and I think might have needed a bit of tlc. Apparently Benson gave her ears and face a thorough clean (several times...). Made her laugh when he tried to get her to play by shoving his ball into her lap, whilst his tail was furiously helicoptering...)... (new word....)

I also had to smile when my milkman texted to say he could now also deliver bread regularly.They are a tiny local business still delivering milk in glass bottles from local dairy farms. Together with the weekly eggs, I now feel anything is achievable with a regular supply of sliced wholemeal
