Hi from me and Lyla!

Oh! Oh! Oh!
What an absolutely gorgeous little sweetie pie!
I particularly love the last picture where she's doing her Very Best Sit and looks like she needs to grow into her collar a bit. I do have a very soft spot for little black girl dogs!

As my garden is so big and has side access so easy to socially distance, we got to meet Lyla on their way home from picking her up. She really is adorable 😍. It was really hard though as I couldn’t hug Orianna 🙁, so Lyla got extra cuddles instead :dug:
Harley wasn’t sure what to make of her. Harley did drop her ball in front of Lyla a few times, but ran away every time Lyla got close to her .

Lyla Update!

She has been an angel when it comes to sleeping at night, only getting up once through the night to go for a wee, and sleeping through til around 6am.

I've had to work for the past couple of days, and am lucky enough to have a home office (as I work from home most of the time anyway!), and she has been so good at settling down whilst im working! (see first photo)

She's started becoming a bit of a crocopup, however having read some posts on the puppy threads, we have started to curb that whilst using positive training! So lucky to have all of the advice on here - thank you!

Will give another update in a few days, but for now I'm going to enjoy having evening snuggles with my fur baby ❤IMG_20200518_145811.jpgIMG_20200519_072045.jpg

Joy was the most crocopup pup I've ever had! She tore my clothes, destroyed four leads and drew blood on a daily basis. She is now the gentlest dog you could ever wish for and looking back she was only a crocopup for about eight weeks. It felt like forever at the time though!

She's loves our hands, my dressing down, my cardigan and my fiancé's ankles! We are removing ourselves from the situation when she does it and rewarding with toys when she stops, and she seems to be picking it up!
Makes me feel better that Joy only did it for 8 weeks, fingers crossed Lyla will be the same 🤞

My furbaby is getting so big!

Lyla continues to settle in brilliantly 😊
She has stopped being such a crocopup most of the time, however still does it when she gets over tired or over excited, so we distract her with treats and it's like we have a completely different puppy!

We took her outside in my arms last week for the NHS / Key worker clap and she freaked when a car went past, so we have left the spare bedroom windows open during the day to try and get her used to car sounds a bit more, and taking her onto the driveway on her lead. Today she did so well and ventured to the top of the drive happily on lead. We also put her harness on for the first time today and although she pulled a funny face, I think she just looks so gorgeous ❤

It's been super hot here so we have got her a pool.. She loves going in for a little cool down, and then jumps out and does zoomies in the garden 😂

She loves a good snooze whether it be on the grass in the garden, or cuddled up to one of us on the sofa - she really is such a loving girl.

We've only had her for just under 2 weeks but she has lifted both of us so much in this short time, and we could not imagine life without her 😁❤received_2571424006452814.pngIMG_20200526_183652.jpgIMG_20200528_175137.jpg
