Where did our week away go?! Home now, having had a lovely time with real people to talk to every evening! It's good to be back though, the garden is approaching it's best, and I have brought treasures with me!20200704_155903.jpgHome cured bacon made with the kit I gave Little Brother for Christmas. 20200704_160033.jpgRed and green Gooseberries. 20200704_160042.jpgRed currants and White currants. 20200704_160059.jpgA tomato plant and two red basil plants.
Then the most precious treasure of all, who very carefully checked out the garden and the towpath, before declaring 'All is as it should be '.20200704_160514.jpg20200704_160557.jpg20200704_160529.jpg20200704_160430.jpg

I’m excited for autumn as - all things going well - my mum’s getting a puppy to join poor, unsuspecting, my-lovely-quiet-life’s-just-perfect-thank-you Jambo. She’s been thinking about it for a couple of years, nearly made the leap last year but wasn’t quite ready. Now, her excellent plumber is having a litter of labs (they sound sensible - health tests, CoIs etc, and are big dog lovers) and she’s on the list. As is my good friend who returned from Oz at the beginning of the year and is desperate for a pup! Keeping all crossed for a comfortable pregnancy and happy, healthy pups (due mid July).

Not temped?
I could be but it always comes down to the same thing, I can manage GGJ, a small wheelie suitcase and a rucksack on a train, but haven't got enough hands for another dog as well, let alone a puppy!
I do keep noticing how much Joy likes Spaniels though and thinking she and a little Springer girl could have lots of fun together!:giggl::shake:
