I was saying to my mum that I feel guilty handing Rowan over to her so I can rest and she was like... "No! He is exhausting. Lovely, but so exhausting."My son said, about his daughter, ‘she never stops unless she’s asleep!’
She takes after her Dad!

Today Rowan needed a change of clothes in the middle of the day, which confused him a little. He asked OH if it was "bat ta," which is his way of saying bath time.
"No it's not bath time."
"No?"
"No."
"No no?"
"No."
"Bat ta bat ta bat ta bat ta...."
He really likes baths!
Oh it’s lovely he’s talking. Rory still isn’t talking at all, just lots of babbling.
His consultant is sending him to have his ears tested because he knows I’m a worrier.
I'm sure he'll start talking and not stop very soon.
My grandson Rory isn't really talking yet either, although he now says 'Dadda' and 'Mumma' quite clearly - and also something that means 'Grandma' but isn't quite! He understands a huge amount, though, and happily makes himself understood by pointing, etc, so I don't think he feels the need to say much!
He had his hearing tested soon after he was born, as the newborn hearing test was inconclusive, but the later test was fine - and he's apparently the only child at nursery who stops to look at a plane flying over when they're playing outside!

My little grandson was here this afternoon - he is 25 months old. He is still not talking. He does come out with the odd 2 word phrase. He says mummy and daddy very clearly. He understands everything and makes his needs/wishes known very easily. He made me smile today as Red was out on her walk when he arrived. He was looking for her and clearly said ‘Red?’ A bit of me worries about his speech (cognitively he’s all there) but his parents are not concerned. He has 3 older sisters and maybe doesn’t feel the need to speak as they all understand him anyway.

Years ago a friend of mine's whole family (a huge, lovely Irish family ) were worried about her nephew, who was two and still not speaking. Eventually the GP referred him to a speech therapist who told them that, having met most of the family, they clearly all understood him and even spoke for him, so he had no need to speak. They did as they were told and stopped doing this and within about a month he was incredibly fluent! It was just as if he'd been listening and storing it all up for when he finally needed it.
I keep getting loads of adverts to join dating agencies on FB. I showed Chris a few he wasnt impressed either.

@Sophiedoodle booked our accommodation for last week near Dunoon.
She got a lovely card through the post today thanking us for leaving the place in good nick.
"I hardly thought anyone had stayed there quite apart from pets! I wish all my guests were the same!"
How nice, and Sophie did a lot of the cleaning and tidying too. She has offered us preferential rates if we want to stay again!
Brownie points for us dog holidayers.

My daughter rang and asked me to a print out a 60 page document for her, I said I didn’t have enough printer ink. Lo and behold when I did my online shopping at Asda an advert popped up for HP inks
