So proud of my Mom (88.5 years young)...she certainly has her ups and downs, but yesterday was an up day so we took advantage of it. I picked up takeaway for lunch and we went for a nice little walk and had a picnic lunch along one of our local bike paths. The chickadees enjoyed their lunch too! Such a heart warming afternoon.....

@Natalie Chickadees are quite a friendly bird and not usually too skitterish. This is a well known area for families to go and interact with them. I may take my granddaughter there on the weekend, she would love it.

I have a WHOLE WEEK OFF WORK . I’m on day 2 and am loving being able to not be on conference calls all day, not be dealing with safeguarding issues, not dealing with a million things at once.
Yesterday I went to a dog shop which I get all of Harleys food and treats from Natural Treats. It was nice to go and browse and buy a few new raw treats for Harley to try.
Today I went to see my mum - she’s been extremely ill over the past few months and was rushed into hospital. She’s still very poorly and is undergoing a lot of tests still. It was so nice to go and spend time with her without having to rush off (Harley was with my dog Walker). She said she misses seeing Harley which brought a huge smile to my face as she used to be scared of her. I can’t take Harley up there at the minute as mums lungs are still half full of fluid and she struggles to breath. I’m hoping to take Harley up soon.

Twice this week, I have been stopped by someone saying ‘Is that Red?’ When I said yes, they said ‘I see her sometimes with your husband on her morning walk’. They then wanted to make a big fuss of her which she was more than happy to let happen. Seems funny that she is recognised for herself and it did make me smile

Nelly makes us both smile on Friday afternoons . Little girl is undoubtably the boss in the nicest possible way , she calls the shots re play , who has what toys etc . Reuben is very compliant , happy with the situation but during the afternoon on Fridays , she takes her place of the back of the chair by the window , we lift the net curtain so that she can see well ( yes, we are her humble servants ! ) and she watches for her big pal to return . When he comes through the door , she greets him like a long lost friend , dancing around him , tail going ten to the dozen . He is always bursting for a wee , I think he forgets when he is having fun , and she prances out into the garden after him , fuss fuss fuss . This euphoria lasts for about half an hour when she then decides that its time to resume normal services , the diva returns x
