She has been a dream to train and a challenge to exercise. She comes from top field trial lines and is completely different to any of my previous dogs. It’s a bit like teaching a very gifted child, if you are engaging them, then they are all concentration, but the moment you ignore them, they are making up their own fun. She’s so quick that she can be 100 yard away from me in a flash.Wow, that's amazing!
I can't get Carbon to come in from the next room, and your girl was so far away that you couldn't even see her and she came like a shot!![]()
Cassie is like that, she's either right next to me or 100/200 yds away. She’s so quick that she can be 100 yard away from me in a flash.
It was a memory. She saw some dummies being thrown into the bracken about 50 yards away and then was walked a long way back and sent. I also walked back another 50 yards and climbed over the sheep fence so she had to jump an obstacle and go out of sight to retrieve. She did that well but the video isn’t very interesting to watch as she’s out of sight for most of it. I miss training with other people.Looking good, was that a blind or a memory? A goodly distance. I so miss training.
I’m very lucky to have access to this private group of fields once a week. It’s been a godsend during lockdown as most of the public land around us is muddy and very crowded. There hasn’t been any stock in here for 10 years and it’s beautifully drained.Gorgeous and I am so jealous of your wide open spaces!! Your description is funny because it reminds me more of Squidge (fab show lines) than of the twins (fab field lines). W&S are super biddable and super hunty if left to their own devices but are so engaged that they would much rather be working with me than anything else.
Squidge loves to work, too, but if I slack off, she will find her own fun and that’s normally total mischief! Training with her is always more challenging because she’s ALWAYS looking to make her own game out of any situation![]()
