UK Tour Guide
Funnily enough I have been wondering about the sleep thing as Red does a lot of sleeping. Her pattern is not dissimilar to Reuben’s, although her day starts much earlier (5.30 am) but she is asleep by 6.00 pm in the sitting room, wakes at 9.00 pm to ‘ask’ to go to her night bed (she gets supper!!!). She gets 1 very long walk early morning, a walk/play early lunchtime and a quick toilet walk around the ‘block’ at 5.30 pm. She has her enrichment time throughout the day - 3 KONGs and I play a game with her in the afternoon - the rest of the time she sleeps. Summertime is different as weather permitting, we will be outside more and during the evening. I just think she’s content with her level of activity

Oreo:

• Morning (could be any time between 6.45 and 9am depending if I’m working/got puppies), time to run downstairs like a heard of elephants and LAUNCH onto “grandpa” (my dad) for my morning biscuit.

• 8am: breakfast time! Best time of the day.

• 8.15-11am: NAP TIME

• 11am: time for walkies - length can vary greatly depending on weather and what Lilly is up for, but Oreo has plenty of zoomies

• 12-5pm: NAP TIME (I luv naps) sometimes we squeeze a little walk in down to the park

• 5-6: helping in the kitchen

• 6.15: tea time! Also the best time of the day.

• 6.30-9pm: snuggles with mummy on the sofa

• 9pm: give mummy the bedtime stare

10:30am - share OH’s snacks

5pm - 30-40 min walk
6:15 dinner - play, some quick training games, helping to cook
8:30pm bed - forced out for last pee around 9:30pm then back to bed!

Finn doesn’t sleep very much....

- Between 7 or 8 outside for a wee and a poo, most of the time 10 minutes or so

- 8:00 breakfast

- until 10:30 helping hand, helping to make breakfast, do house chores. When I am upstairs he will wait at the stairs, won’t come up
- 10:30 walk of 1 hour, some with or without lead

- 12:30 carrot time

After this: helping me with the chores, otherwise looking and keeping me in his view what might be happening. You never know...

- 15:00 walk of 1 hour

- 17:00 diner time

- 18:00 waiting for the diner plates are emptied and see if something is left over....Very important task

- 19:00 sleeping time

- 21:00 awake, for a wee, then straight back to bed for sleeping until the next day

Carbon is feeling very unlucky and neglected after reading these and would like to put in an official request for a new ML. :hmm:
Maxx also.

We wake up when Maxx decides it is high time we did. He is getting more patient with waiting but it can be anywhere between 5.30 and 6.30. A typical day:

6.00am - everybody up, Maxx gets a frozen carrot or banana kong
6.30am - Walkies
7.30am - breakfast wobbler
7.35am - inspect kitchen floor for any residue of hooman's breakfast
7.40am - nap time. This involves a lot of phantom moves from couch1 to couch2 to bed to floor to mat1 to mat2 to mat3
12.00pm - human lunch time. Frozen Kong for Maxx
12.30pm - play time
1.00pm - nap time
3.00pm - play time or 2nd walk
4.00pm - nap time
5.30pm - hooman dinner preparation to monitor
6.00pm - dinner!
6.15pm - post dinner madness involving zoomies and any small object that can be nicked (or a toy from the toy box) for a chase
7.00pm - nap time or sometimes cuddles on the couch
8.00pm - bed time

Cassie's day roughly is like this , depending whether I am working somewhere it will differ accordingly.

7-7.30 I go downstairs to make a cup of tea, she greets me in the kitchen with a quick wiggle then goes and curls up on the sofa. I go back to bed and MLF.

If someone else then gets up, or I go back down, she starts walking around, sits at bottom of stairs harumphing and moaning in increasing increments. It's her breakfast time, but she must be quiet for a while before she gets it! This happens after an hour if no one else gets up.

She may or may not look out through the open door into the garden and decide she's not going out there.

Then I have my breakfast/get dressed/ light woodburner this weather. She lies down again but begins to get restless. We go for a walk, she will not use my small garden to wee or poo. Mostly we have a longish walk now at about 09.30 but it depends what else I'm doing, sometimes we meet a friend in the afternoon for a longer walk. Or she might get 2 medium walks! It just depends.

On our return we have a bit of a chat and she hunts for slippers, practices hand delivery. If Reeva's here they will have a play before Cass says it's time for her to sleep. Which she does on the sofa or close to the woodburner this weather.

Depending on her level of satisfaction she gets up early to mid afternoon to enquire as to whether it's her tea time, usually this is about 4 pm.

She'll potter about for a couple of hours, now it's lighter for longer she will have a ten minute spin round the grounds her. She is stationed in the kitchen when our meal is prepared (obviously!). She goes to our kitchen bed while we eat, then afterwards settles to sleep in the evening. At some point my son will pounce or her to play rough and tumble currently.:)

She still requests her nightime snack at 9 pm like she had as a puppy :)

Our dogs have a very predictable daily routine these days:

7ish wake up and out to garden to toilet, then breakfast. Jess goes up to the human bed for an hour and I usually cuddle Brodie on the sofa for a bit.

8ish morning walk for 30-40 mins. OH does this one during the week, I do it at weekends.

Dog snooze time. Before Brodie, Jess used to have the run of the house and could snooze anywhere. Sadly Brodie still can't be trusted not to eat random household items so they both stay in the living room all day. I hope this might be a good thing as when we go back to using our offices the dogs at least aren't used to being by our side all day.

12.30 lunchtime walk, Jess often declines and just has a wee and demands to go back to the house. Brodie gets a walk round the block and lots of ball throwing in a local park. I think this might be his favourite walk of the day!

Dog snooze time.

3pm dinner - early dinner started as I wanted to do the evening walk while it was still light but the dogs now protest massively if I try to make it any later! Ideally should be an hour or two later.

4pm-5pm evening walk. I usually drive them to a big park for this one so they get lots of rooting through woods and trees. Again, hopefully we can make this later again when evenings are lighter.

5-6pm I cook and Brodie sits in the kitchen and watches me.

6-7 doggie playtime, usually lots of nuzzling and nibbling and barking from the dogs, sometimes toys, wobbler etc or rawhides. Lots of cuddles with us.

8-9ish dogs now bored of us and want to go to sleep, they go to their beds and we either watch TV or get on with some work/reading etc. Dogs get a last toilet break in the garden between at 10ish.

Repeat every day until coronavirus is no longer keeping us housebound!

Our dogs have breakfast at 8:30am. Then I groom Echo every day, Tatze once a week.

Walkies - a free run - at about 10am for an hour - usually separately, Tatze with Mr Boogs and Echo with me. Followed by a long snooze then a Kong.

I play the ‘fishing’ game with them both together in the afternoon - it’s a race to get the fish to me, but they both get a treat whichever brings the fish. Followed by an sniffy lead walk for Tatze and a training walk for Echo. This is usually followed by a crazy play time in the house or garden depending on the weather. They have their tea at 6pm then by a Kong. I give them snuffle mats and buster cubes at about 8:30pm.

When they are not active they are snoozing or Echo is playing ‘fetch the toy’ with me.

We all retire into the front room to watch TV at 9pm. Me on the sofa with Tatze and Mr Boogs on the floor with Echo draped over him. Last wee and bed time 10:30pm.

Echo has Zoom puppy class every Monday. Tatze has just started fun training sessions by Zoom with me and a friend every Thursday.

It's interesting to see how everyone else spends their day.
This is Maisy's routine at the moment but that will change when lockdown ends and we go back to work.
Tuesdays is day care but the rest of the week goes like this:

8.00 - 8.30am Get up, might as well as mum and dad have got their coats on and want me to take them outside again.
Wee, poo and a nice walk and sniff about in the woods, lots of new smells since yesterday, or I might meet some friends to play with.

9.30 - 10.00am Back home at last, I am starving for breakfast by now then I have my after breakfast chew. Then I keep an eye on mum, if she's hanging out the washing I pick up the clothes pegs for her, supervise the house cleaning and generally get under her feet.

After a few jobs we sit down together for a cuddle then I go up to bed while she is on the computer and I might have a snooze but dad is going to make lunch soon so I must keep one ear open.

11.30 - 12.00 Yep, time for lunch now, must make sure dad leaves me a bit, just give him that stare, he's a sure thing.

12.30 - 1pm Mum's had lunch too by now but it's hardly worth my time giving her the stare, she knows me too well and won't give in so off for a proper sleep now.

2.30 ish I'm curled up on the bed and mum comes in around this time for a snuggle, we curl up together and snooze lightly then up at about
3.30pm we go for a walk. I don't know why she insists on going out but I have to go too just to keep an eye on her.

4.30 - 5.00pm Back home and time to start piling on the pressure for dinner, mum tries to make theirs but if I keep on whinging I get mine first and then I can sit under the table and drool over dads feet, he always leaves some for me.

While mum does the washing up I go to sleep in her chair, she doesn't mind though.

7.30pm Wake up for a bed time biscuit - this is easy, my internal clock tells me when to open my eyes then I just stare at dad, and stare . . . and stare, ha, he always give in.

Then it's play time, I get mum to hide treats round the house or I put all my toys in the box, generally be a very good clever girl.

9.00pm Can't keep it up so end up having a snooze before a last wee at about 11pm when my people go to bed
