What made you smile today?

Yes, "Grace do you remember the time after a night out Dad found you asleep with your knickers round your ankles asleep on the toilet" aged 23  With four children I have a million stories and I love wheeling them out whenever I can to whoever I can!! xx
For me it’s my in laws.

Jenny do you remember the time Roy found you asleep hugging the toilet in the middle of the night and had to get Nathan to come and get you.

Or the time you were sick out of Nathan’s bedroom window onto the conservatory roof.

Holly is very confused.
When I come home she always fetches my slippers. Its a game we play which always involves a few treats and tickles, so she really enjoys it.
Yesterday one of my slippers split so I had to throw them out. We just got home from a walk and she went looking for my slippers but couldn't find them. It was clearly worrying her so, in desperation, she brought me Ruths slippers instead. How could i refuse? Holly got her treats and tickles.
i just hope that the replacement slippers arrive before Holly gets into the habit of bringing Ruths slippers or Holly will get really confused.

Because Joy's back to on lead walks only until her warty growth removal has healed we did a spot of exploring today, following paths and tracks that we haven't been along before. We came to a place called 'Hill House ', a massive Victorian house from what I could see, complete with its own gatehouse. I was just wondering who lived there when round the corner came an elderly man with an elderly GR. He and Joy wagged politely at each other and rubbed noses. The man noticed Joy's stitches and asked what had happened and we stood and talked about dogs for a while. He also mentioned that he lived in Hill House. Eventually GGJ and I carried on down the track and then we came upon this20210327_095357.jpg20210327_095404.jpgit was right beside the land attached to the house, and I'm sure the sign must have been put there by the man and his wife. What a nice thing to do.I'm sure it's caused many a smile. :)

Carbon is smiling today because I've at least temporarily given up on my embargo of tennis balls and ball launchers. We went out last week with our neighbours to the beach. They had a Chuck It and threw the ball for TWO HOURS for Carbon and he was dead to the world (and happy) for the entire day. I haven't seen him enjoy the beach so much in ages.

So I decided "So what if it's his crack cocaine, it makes him happy" and took him out to the beach at 7am this morning to chase after the ball until it started raining on us. Happy dog. Hopefully the right decision, even though balls make him certifiably out of his tree. We won't do it every day, but it's a little compromise I can do for him now and then.
