Doggy brags

Well done Maisy ❤. How is she now @Shaz82?

Sorry you are having to have so much work done on your new home
Hi Alison, she is cough free at night now, just an occasional small cough in the morning or with sudden exertion but generally much better. We are on day 9 since the first sympton now, I am walking her for 20mins in the morning in town before work as I don't want to bump into any dogs. How is Red now?

Coco & I passed a dog this morning, with no pulling or barking at all. The dog was on the other side of a very narrow road, the man was talking to his dog all the while (saying "remember.." ??), I was talking to Coco all the time...just general chit chat. I didn't alter his lead length at all and we just passed. Heaps of praise afterwards. The man and I even managed to exchange "good morning". I think he was as chuffed as I was.

I love walking Coco now. It's "our" time and we see so much together.

A teeny brag for Meggy-Muck too. I saw a lady with a poodle coming towards us so I crossed onto a little raised grassy green where we lurked and watched them pass, she was on alert, but no lunging, she sat. Then another dog appeared, this time the lady with it stopped to chat to a lone walker. We had to stay put & watch..still no barking & lunging. No way could we have walked on, but sitting up on the green amongst the bushes (but definitely not hidden), she watched.

So proud of my girl. Many of you are aware of our fence issues at the bottom of the garden and the snarling dogs behind them. This year Red has become very reactive to not just them but any noise in the garden. We’ve been working hard at teaching her not to react. For the first time I really watched her control her behaviour - she made the decision as she was about to go over the threshold to stop herself….and she did. So proud of her. She got a huge fuss and treats from me and F was delighted when I told him so she got a second well done fuss. I suspect we still have a long way to go but for now I’ll settle for that

That's huge progress @Atemas , well done to all of you and particularly to Red for your perseverance. You're clearly well on the way, and this is setting Red up for a far more comfortable garden experience. Congratulations!

That's a big step! Clever girl Red.

My brag is that Chewie chose to lie on the sofa while a plumber installed our fridge and laundry appliances... (Until a few more people arrived and he went a bit bonkers...) But still! This is a lot for captain crazy pants.
