Ted

Some of the SW pack members will remember Ted, our next-door neighbours black Lab. Ted and Holly were great pals and created their share of mayhem together, often visiting in each others houses and gardens (whether invited or not!)
Yesterday we learned that Ted has cancer. It's not clear how long he has left, it could be days or months.
We went to see him today and he was pleased to see us - lots of wags, neck rubs and treats. We had a chat with the family and they intend to spoil him rotten for the time that's left. He can have all his favourite foods and treats. If he wants to sleep on the furniture that's OK. Whatever time he has left will be enjoyable. There'll be time enough to cry when he finally goes.
I think this is a wonderful reaction to a very hard situation.

Very sad news indeed but I applaud their ethos , I did just the same with Sam , giving them their best lives is the way to go . My very best wishes and hope for Ted and his owners x

Sorry to hear about poor Ted's diagnosis. Lucky him though having such loving and caring humans.

@kateincornwall I remember so well while Sam was ill... You and Paul always made sure his welfare and happiness were at the forefront.

Poor Ted and his owners but they are definitely doing the right thing. Spoil him rotten he’s earned it. When the time comes it will be hard but I hope they can take comfort knowing he had a wonderful, happy life with them remember all the fun.

I'm sad to say that Ted died at the weekend. He was 12 years old and spent a happy life with a loving family.

Poor Ted's owners - they gave him a wonderful life and he knew nothing but love. Sleep tight Ted.
