It's the worst feeling, the waiting. I had a colonoscopy on Friday and after going through Steve's illness I was sick with fear. What a relief to wake up and hear that all looks fine. Just waiting in some biopsy results but the doctor said that is only precautionary.

So so glad your results were benign Kate
Oof Robyn, I bet that hit deep. Hope your biopsy results are similarly clear and you can congratulate yourself on being v sensible and getting checked out. Sending heaps of love, that must have been scary xxxxx

When we got out of hospital Rory was sick all over the couch.

We had to take all of the cushions off except one which hadn’t been hit and were letting Rory sit on that one. We put a blanket on for Stanley but his hmpfffs were telling us he wasn’t happy about not having his cushions.

The minute Rory got off I saw him doing a little skulk over.. 🤣🤣IMG_6704.jpeg

We had a lovely walk today, the sun is shining. It involved going out in the car, it seems to have evolved recently that Cass gets a chew on our return home if she's been in the car, whatever the time of day! So she had that and a bit of a chat like we always do after a walk. Then I sat at the kitchen table to read my paper before making soup. Cass kept coming through with some request, no more chews sweetie, what's going on?

Eventually I brought my paper through to the easy chairs - as soon as I sat down she jumped into her chair and settled down as normal!

Looks like that is what she wanted! Fast asleep now!

Jackson was skipping around the house this afternoon, singing what appeared to be gibberish, to the tune of "twinkle twinkle little star".

After a while, I realised he was saying the same "words" each time. We finally worked out that he was actually singing the whole song in Chinese (Mandarin) as he'd learned it at childcare! Not bad for 3yrs old 😆

On our (extremely wet) walk thismorning we met Connor, who used to work at the place where Joy went for Daycare and Flyball about six years ago. Joy has always loved Connor and was Veryvery pleased to see him. He's now working as a dog walker and had a little Cocker Spaniel and a young Border Terrier with him, who Joy clearly liked, so we walked together, chatting about dogs, as you do. He was saying how Joy had been a lovely dog to look after because she was such a clear communicator, which is something that other people have said. I find it difficult to judge whether she is or not, because I know her so well. Anyway, we walked on, then said Goodbye at the point where Joy and I had to turn off, and I put her on lead to go back along the lane in the direction of home. A little further on she came to an abrupt halt, sniffing something on the ground. This turned out to be a ball, obviously left behind by another dog and she refused to move away from it. I showed her her own ball, saying 'This is yours, here!' whereupon she nudged the other ball with her nose, biffed me on the leg with her paw, stared at me and gave a loud squeak. So I said 'Oh! Alright then!' and picked it up then carried it home for her. So yes, she is a very clear communicator, presumably because it always pays off!:wasntme::giggl:

Last night Cassie and I were playing our modified scent/search/retrieve game in the house - this is were I hide her new rabbit skin ball somewhere, preferably wrapped up in something that she has to get it out of, because searching is what she loves.
I put the ball in a small plastic cone, thinking she would bring the whole thing back to me, but instead she pushed it over with her nose, trod on the narrow end so the ball shot out - and Bingo there is the ball to be retrieved!

She was so delighted with herself, I think her whole body was beaming! :hearteyesdog:
