The Labraventures of Carbón, Spanish (ex-) foster dog extraordinaire

Oh good grief! What a trip. Hope you are moving again by now?
It was so lovely to see you both here on Wednesday - and Pongo says he is terribly terribly sorry for getting so over-excited :hmm::$:giggl:. Carbon was extremely patient with this enormous lump thinking he was a tiny puppy (and being obsessed with Carbon's bottom....)

Safe travels, ML and spanish gentleman. See you soon!

Oh Emily , I feel for you , maybe try and book another hotel not so far away ? xx
We made it! And now about to have a good sleep. 😊

If I would have cut down today’s hours it would have made tomorrow’s trip that much longer and we need to slide into Regensburg before 4pm. It was a slog today - and I lost the cap to my petrol tank, grrr! - but at least the traffic was very light as the evening wore on. Knock on wood, but hopefully all the drama today will mean smooth (and peacefully boring) sailing tomorrow .

When Carbón wakes up he’s going to be really peeved that I’ve commandeered his thread. 😁

The tired and sweaty eagles have landed (in Regensburg). It’s 33 outside and must be 40 inside. Good grief, I miss Cornwall. But hey ho, I will move through my Regensburg to do list, kick some serious backside for the next couple months, and before I know it, I’ll be asking where the time went.

Carbón is NOT having culture shock at all, rather he is bouncing and smiling like a loon! I’m not sure why he loves it here so much, but good for him!

So pleased to hear

- this made me laugh, poor sweaty eagles! I bet they do get sweaty sometimes too, having to lug deer carcasses across mountain tops. I’m glad you’ve landed and can perchance have a shower at some point.

I put it to you that el savi senyor is simply happy to be with his favourite human after a looong journey looking at the back of her head, pot ser?
(Have you noticed my gentle sprinkling of Catalan here? subtil, eh? 😘)

Except…he has no idea that it was a long journey!

All I heard for 10 hours a day was snoring from the back seat. 😂

I think it’s because he thinks pretzels grow out of the magical cobblestones. He’s not entirely wrong, at least with all the summer tourists.

Hola amiiiiigos! While ML has been muy grumpy about being back in Germany, I am as always living my best vida. That is how this Spanish gentleman rolls, I am simply happy everywhere.

I have exciting news from my visit to my muy simpatica doctor lady who took lots of my blood on Monday. No, no, do not worry about the blood: I do not even notice it as she gives me SO many golosinas (that means treats) while she is doing the deed.

Pues, today we got the results and my very special diet not only is deleeeeeecious, but it has really helped me. My kidneys were a leeetle sad last fall, but now they are normal again, and my leishmaniasis is back to undetectable after a scary few months. I still need a few more tests, but things are looking MUY BUENO, amigos!

Can someone please tell ML that she can stop crying over me on a regular basis and begging me, “Oh Carbón, you can’t leave me, I can’t go on without you!” Dios mio, the drama! Plus she gets my beautiful shiny fur all slobbery, and that is just wrong, no?

So let us go back to worrying about more important things, like how very much time there is between breakfast and dinner and dinner and breakfast. These are life’s real issues!

A few photos of our vida in Regensburg. Like rainbows from our bedroom window.

And some pretty buildings here and there.

And finally I saved the best for last, no?

Of course the best is last 😊 I weep on my dog as well, but he is old, not a handsome young thing like you x
