Pure craziness. I been waiting for a new lab for a while nearly 2 years. My family had flatcoats when I was younger. I've always liked them. This was an exceptional litter. A friend got a lovely bitch and laughingly said there's 2 boys left. So I rang the breeder and went and got a boy. I'm very happy with him.

I like these unexpected puppy 'getting', it always turns out as such a joy. Duncan looks an exceptionally good puppy and fits in so well with the boys.

Amazing working lines. I've got some 121 training sessions coming booked for the next few weeks and some classes which aren't routine puppy socialisation classes. He's so sweet and I just can't face a puppy class again.

It will be gundog based. I'll be doing the 121 until we think he's a ready for gundog pup classes. The classes are very gentle and not very formal. It's supposed to be fun

I have been to several gundog based training classes, some (most) are fun and the dogs love it, one of the others, I used to go home in tears!

The trainer had no people skills and could be very harsh. However, I learned a great deal from her which has helped enormously in my training. I was afraid to put a foot wrong! Now I enjoy the new classes, new trainers and have started with Flicka. Have done the majority of Flicka's training myself so far.
