Thankyou! My goal for Spring/Summer last year was to plant things that would provide autumn colour and winter structure. It's worked to a certain extent, but I also cheated by buying some metal things that stick in the ground to help with the general effect.

I kitted out our winter nest sofa with our own covers and pillows and then…drum roll!…brought out the first of Carbón’s beloved stuffies! Only Monkey and Elly travel with us, so everyone else pretty much disappears in storage when we’re not in Cornwall. I love how excited Carbón gets greeting them and then how each gets maximum cuddles afterwards.
He’s now fast asleep with Sean Puppy but when I took the photo he was still in “Don’t even THINK of taking him away again” mode.

Does anyone else's dog flap (as in have a good shake) in anticipation of getting wet? Joy has just asked politely to go out ( biff with paw on my leg, followed by meaningful hard stare, followed by walk to back door) and when the door was opened and she realised that it was raining she gave me another hard stare and had a big flap, as if to say 'Alright then, if I must, but you do realise it's wet, don't you?'
