Sounds pretty much as I train loose lead, lots of treating for looking. It's hard work for the pups (and the humans) but gets such good results quickly.First lead walk in a shop. Spencer did really well. We have new way of teaching them to walk on a loose lead and I really like it.
Iām sure plenty of you have used it for your pups. You have a longish lead and ātetherāit to yourself by tucking your hand into your belt. This is so that you arenāt āsteeringā the pup in any way. Then you let the pup do what he likes and treat every time he either looks at you or walks in the right position. It wasnāt a long walk - 5 minutes - but took half of his afternoon feed! He cottoned on really quickly. I think Iāll have to use his whole feed tomorrow!

Yes, he does indeed @Selina, there is just that something about him.Cass still does this too sometimes, often after her morning walk.
I've loved reading about all your guide dog puppies -- but this little guy, Spencer, somehow he's getting to parts others haven't quite reached![]()
