What made you smile today?

There was a mixture of laughter and annoyance when Chewie licked the soles of my feet in the middle of the night.

Then a big smile watching him learn to move balls out of a cup holder to access the kibble underneath. He is so gentle with enrichment activities, compared with his usual galumpus-y self.

This lot make me smile whenever I see them meandering around our small town, hissing at people, holding up traffic and generally creating mayhem.Opinion is divided about them (there have been letters to the local paper and a pub has been renamed after them, The Loose Goose) I think they're great and am glad to see that they've taken up residence in our street again, probably because we're friendly folk and many of us feed them.IMG_20190429_164124.jpg

After a really odd, and not really pleasant training session, Bramble really made me smile!

We had a training session that both of us felt a bit uncomfortable, she did OK, however, the environment we were in meant our emotional bank account was being drained...I could see us heading into the red at a rate of knots! :( It's made me feel really sad.

Anyhow, I get back to our gorgeous cabin, and the owners were there to greet us, plus their lovely and sassy (an Emilyism...) border collie called Gemma. I end up taking both Gemma and Bramble for a walk :).

A game of fetch evolves.....I throw the ball for Gemma, who nudges it to Bramble, who then brings it to me to throw again. So this game goes on fro a while. The owner then leans out of the window of their house and calls "Oh sorry, is Gemma bothering you?" No of course not I reply. She then comments of the fact that Gemma has NEVER let another dog take her ball.....Oh...umm....I reply. She then comes downstairs and watches in amazement Bramble and Gemma playing. It was magical! :inlove:
