Snow really seems to bring out their inner puppy, my previous girl Billie used to love running along rubbing her face in it, even at 13!

Snowy in Somerset too, Neo’s first snow experience 🙂 He was a bit wary of it initially and got the zoomies! L took him out for his stroll this morning, hunting for squirrels in the trees!

Hope he’s feeling much better very soon, the waiting around to get them back home again is no fun x

Hopefully he will feel better once it’s been trimmed, makes me wince when they catch or split a nail, it must be so sore x

He likes his old one, just very wary of anything new - when I got him his big boy bed a few months ago it took him a week before he would lie in it! He doesn’t have the same caution with new foods though, strange…..🤔

When your mum gets you a new drying coat in the sales and makes you try it on for size even though you’re not wet……. That face! 🤣

Very proud of Neo today - unfortunately he somehow nicked the pad behind his dew claw on his walk this morning. This is his first injury of this sort, he was very brave and let me clean and dress it with minimal fuss, such a good boy! He’s not too impressed with my handiwork but got a frozen tux...

Neo is exactly the same, car doors during the day are definitely more barkable than the ones in the evening.

We tried half an hour later this morning in preparation and managed to get away with it, here’s hoping it wasn’t a fluke!

Just a little follow up - I had an appointment with the vet this week to discuss options for Neo with the firework season. As his medication has changed recently he advised he thinks we should see how he gets on first before looking at additional meds but said he will be happy to prescribe some...

Don’t give him any ideas! 😂

Thanks all for sharing your experiences and ideas. I think I am going to put a call in to the vet and see if they have any recommendations. As he is already on anxiety medication I’m a bit wary of further medicating him, hence the thunder shirt idea, but equally I don’t want him to be stressed...

Does anyone have any experience of using a ThunderShirt or similar to help an anxious dog with fireworks? Do they work? It’s getting close to that time of year again and I’m looking into anything that might help Neo cope. He was absolutely fine with them last year as a young pup but I’m...
