Thank you @Hollysdad. Flicka will go out in persistent rain! However, you have reassured me there is some measure of protection and Flicka has a single coat, though as she is getting older it seems to be thickening up a little on her back.
So sorry and it is horrible for you to be without her today. I wonder why she has gum recession, did the vet say why? Sending Lambies for you both.:thelambiesarecoming: xx
Wretched for you Kate. It has rained here, but only one day of relentless rain, the only day I can ever remember not taking a dog out! Otherwise manageable rain x
Very well done Maxx. I live on my own and have had dogs who would bark and scare off a burglar, but Flicka never barks and wouldn't scare a fly! So I do worry!
Yes, that is exactly right sadly. I feel there is no need for flea protection unless there is a flea problem. I never use it and up to this moment, my dogs have never had fleas. However, when we visited Cornwall I did use tick protection. I did read that vets were going to be told not to...
Unless you have a flea problem or live in a tick area, I would never, ever put a chemical into my dog's body unless absolutely necessary.
I have come across Bravecto.
