    Adopting a Labrador

This is cheering news. Good that you have gone private for your neuro problems. It seems the only solution if you can when NHS waiting times are so excessive. I hope your appointment goes well. A puppy sounds most exciting, if all goes according to plan we shall expect lots of pictures.

    Holly

I have only just caught up with your very sad news. I am so so sorry about Holly she was such a lovely dog. You gave her a lovely life, hang on to that during this awful time. Also, she helped Becca and Pippin with their fear of other dogs for which I will be eternally grateful.

So sorry to hear that Holly isn't doing so well, it really is the news nobody wants to hear. It is good that she is not in pain though. It seems a good plan to let her dictate the length of her walks and rests if she wants them.

    Howling

Yes, Becca does this quite a lot and if I talk quietly to her she stops. It's a very blood curdling noise. Once when I had Oliver he started howling like that for the first time. It was during the night and he was downstairs, I thought someone was trying to break in. My daughter had the same...
