DISCHARGED!!!! :cancan::cancan::cancan::cancan: Have to continue with the prescription diet for another 3 days and then slowly transition. Have to finish the course of antibiotics but the other meds can now stop!

Interesting as he had diarreah this morning... I wonder if that was the last bit for his system to get rid of.. Tonight as he pooped both me and OH are leaning over with our torch and OH is literally shouting ‘yes! Get in there, boy that is perfect’ In the dark. In the middle of the woods...

He’s still on the vet prescribed food, not been around other dogs since he was in hospital. Have watched him like a hawk since he’s come home and he’s 100% had nothing other than the prescribed gastro food. Seems a bit more active now - will see what tonight’s poo looks like!

I say he hasn’t played - that’s since his walk at 8am - on the walk he was bouncy and playing.

Eating and drinking normally, not played at all today. Has slept since 9am. Woke up and had his lunch but then went back to sleep - one poo today and that was this morning and was yellow and ‘drippy’ Vets tomorrow at 9.30 unless he deteriorates more

Leo just came home. Was significantly harder than I expected. He’s in a lovely tube that has forget me nots drawn all over it. Weird really. When I had the idea that he was ‘just’ with the vets it was easier than looking at that tiny little tube. Life really is shockingly shit sometimes.

It’s not like he’s not comfortable 🙄

He is still asleep from his morning walk. It’s been 4 hours. Trying to figure out what is recovery and what is a potential relapse is driving me a little bit crazy %)%) It’s by far the most exercise he has had since before this all started so I was expecting him to be tired but 4 hours?
