Don't worry Jill, in a few months you will be the one answering the questions of the next new puppy owner! We have all been there....

We also have an Aquasorb towel (actually we have three, one for the car, one for the house, one because I was greedy and they are absolutely brilliant). But we used to use an ordinary old towel to dry Pongo when he was a puppy, it became a great game of wrestle and meant we could play with him...

What a nice place this forum is.

    Poor old Pongo

Yes, snoozing with head on my foot. Which means I can't possibly get up. Which means OH has to go and make the tea. Normal service has been resumed, he is just a bit sleepier than usual (and a bit twitchy when he's awake). And the good news is that he isn't scratching at his ears or shaking...

    Poor old Pongo

Perkier this morning, hurrah! One good thing about having a Labrador, it is pathetically easy to get them to take pills.

    Poor old Pongo

Thank you! Honestly, in most other areas of my life I'm a sensible, rational person but when it comes to the dog I just turn into a blithering idiot.

    Poor old Pongo

Here's a question....so Pongo has had a steroid injection this afternoon and I have got steroid tablets to give him daily (two per day for a week). Does anyone know if I'm meant to give him his first dose tonight, or would it be tomorrow (when the injection will have worked through a bit)...

    Poor old Pongo

Thanks everyone. I know it's a minor ailment compared to most! And he's not so miserable that he hasn't dragged himself into the kitchen when he heard OH open the fridge and start chopping veggies...

    Poor old Pongo

I know it's nothing compared to some of the traumas our forum dogs seem to be going through at the moment, but I do hate it when the big Pongster is under the weather. Just back from the vets because he was worrying at his ears and normal drops didn't seem to be helping. Sure enough when she...

Hi Jill, and welcome from me and my big yellow boy Pongo in south Wales. We got him nearly five years ago, when he was 10 weeks old. I cannot tell you how often I sat looking at my tiny puppy monster thinking "oh my god, what have I done" and feeling waves of despair! The nipping, the...

    Mantrailing - Pongo's new game!

Yes. This. I shall endeavour to replicate it at every SW pack outing this year, and I expect you all to follow suit.

Definitely! Look on facebook for Lets Play Dog Training. Yes, we were up at the Kymin yesterday. My first time up there, it really is spectacular isn't it?
