    Poppy

Yes, it's so emotionally draining. Molly is spending almost all her time sleeping now, though she still likes to eat. Her tail thumps when one of us come into the room. I don't think it's quite time.

    Sully ❤️

The only Goldie I know well is Rajah, the one I borrow. He has the most incredibly sweet nature - gentle with all people and dogs. However show him a squirrel and he goes into manic hunt mode! He's also extremely 'sniffy' - if he's in the middle of a good sniff you might as well give up hope of...

    Leaving pup alone

Several years ago I took a class on separation anxiety with the IMDT so some of their advice might be useful. (Of course this was geared towards adult dogs - your puppy is just showing normal puppy behaviour - but i think a few of the same strategies might help.) I think this was called the...

@Atemas That's quite all right, you don't need to apologise. @Jacqui-S Thank you for your understanding comments - I hope it's not bringing back too many sad memories. Thanks too for the advice from @M.F. 's vet which I read when it was posted but had forgotten about. Today I'm even less...

    Molly

Well the vet advised against operating to remove the lump. He said he thought it was unlikely she would survive an operation and that it would be stressful for her. Also that she has so many other lumps that it wouldn't do anything to extend her life. He examined her thoroughly and said while...

    Molly

I think it's likely Molly is coming towards the end of her life. She has very many lumps including a new one which has grown alarmingly during the last week. She has very little energy but is still eating as eagerly as ever. I'm seeing the vet this afternoon to talk through options. I'm...

    Tess in Somerset

I've had a weekend away with Tess in Somerset (between Glastonbury and Bridgewater) for a Rally show at a super venue - so much space to walk your dog off lead well away from the competition rings. Another huge plus was that the competition rings were fully fenced. Most shows I've been to this...
