    What made you smile today?

I looove this, and particularly your equal need for a shake off! Increasingly I’ll join Kipper in a shake off and it normally releases a good amount of tension I often didn’t know I was carrying. So many near misses are missed by the people that could’ve/should’ve been alert to them, eh? I’d...

The bomb thing happens surprisingly often, we had one in our local city Exeter in 2021 that was found when building new houses. It was 1,000kgs and made a huuuge boom when they detonated it, they had to evacuate 2,600 households. This year there was a couple who’d had an armed bomb in their...

Axel will always be a very loved part of our forum here, so if you did decide to change your username it wouldn’t be a replacement but an evolution

    Harleys arthritis

Oh @Naya , rough times for poor Harley. When Stilton was sick recently we had to try all sorts before we found something he could consider - poached chicken and a bit of boiled egg did it in the end. I hope she’s feeling better very soon and you can get to the bottom of it x

    Ideas on sight loss

Hi all - my mum’s older dog seems to have lost a lot of vision over the last few weeks. He has severe cataracts which is a likely cause but I’m encouraging a vet visit to explore reasons behind this and possible mitigations. However, I wanted to farm your knowledge on management - does anyone...

    Stilton the Mighty

Ah, baby Rourke. For us, the issue is that Stilton was (understandably) very puppyish and from the beginning wanted to jump all over Kipper, chew him and play. Kipper found his speed and unpredictable bounciness very worrying, and tried to get away at every opportunity. Now Stilton has grown and...

    Stilton the Mighty

Here’s the boy! It’s been a busy few months to say the least. I’ve never known teething like it - poor wee mite, his tooth discomfort and need for relief was really voracious at times. We’re through it now, with a bit of gnawing on furniture when he’s overtired - but mostly now he chews on legal...

    What made you smile today?

Darling Hunter, he deserves a red carpet every day!! Kipper has a red Devon soil carpet most days to walk on at the moment - I love the winter colours

    Harleys arthritis

It’s really tough and I feel your tension - there might be no perfect answer right now but you and your vet are clearly doing your ‘due diligence’. I think the wash out period is around a week if you were thinking of trialing it.

    Harleys arthritis

Kipper is 6 and has had monthly librela for around 10 months now. It shows moderate benefits for him, alongside regular physio, hydro, laser therapy and massage every 2 weeks and red light therapy using a Photizo machine (which we’ve bought) after most walks or when he seems lame or tender. The...

    Jambo not well

Thanks for your good wishes, they’ve done the job so far! Jambo is improved and came home at lunchtime, his temperature is now normal and he’s feeling brighter although a bit quiet. It’s still a question mark why his blood test was ‘abnormal’ but my mum doesn’t want any further investigations...
