I feel your pain, Charlie does this a LOT. I use treats as you both do but I also use a 'scatter' cue. If I happen to see the postman first all the better, I throw treats round the floor and say 'scatter' Charlie then hunts them all up distracting him. Crafty boy goes back to the balcony window...

Thanks for the write up Natalie, very helpful. It would be difficult to see the benefits when other treatments and medications are in place. I suppose it's like finding out about an allergy, you test one thing at a time. xx

Should it be the norm to feed dogs separately Kate @Beanwood ? Hattie and Charlie eat side by side within inches of each other, have their midday chew side by side too all without issue. Am I possibly tempting a problem? x

Me too, but I am not opposed to traditional alongside western as it has worked for thousands of years. My vet said she could refer Hattie if the Metacam isn't helping. It's just another option to think about. Shame you don't have the time any more Jacqui it sounds fascinating. I remember...
