A bridge too far?

There wasn’t an option to go anywhere but over the bridge, as the fences on both sides were electric. I wasn’t going to cross if Simba was uncomfortable, but as I said was absolutely shocked that he even tried it…twice! With no worry at all!

Thought I’d give an update on this. We had a little set-back while I was isolating with COVID back in Sept and OH was in charge of walks. ‘Nuff said .

So I just ignored the bridges for awhile and we just went around. As I suspected, at the first snow of the season Simba was able to be persuaded when it was mainly covered by snow. But it was cleared off quickly so we went back to careful persuasion with treats.

Result being that the last couple days he’s been quite happy to cross, and even to go on the bridge ahead of me. So, we are definitely making great progress! He’s not completely comfortable but willing to give it a go!
