Another bad Injury!

I am so sorry to hear about poor Harley injured again I hope she is doing better today. When Charlie cuts a paw or is limping I tend to take the view that resting him is better, for him, no temptations in the way. Healing is quicker so back to normal much quicker. Sending our love. xx

I’ve been thinking about Harley too. How is she @Naya?

We are back at the vets in half hour to have a the bandage taken off and hopefully also have stitches out if it’s healed enough. Fingers crossed
She’s been nibbling at the bandage a bit in the last 24 hours, so I think it’s bothering her, either itchy or because she’s hot and bothered. She likes her walks, but I can see she is desperate to run with her friends......hopefully soon.

Stitches are out . We have had a few episodes of her trying to lick the wound, but have managed to divert her attention 90% of the time. The vet said she will probably will want to clean it by licking and that’s ok, just as long as it’s not too much. She’s still on lead walks only for another 5 days and has to wear a boot, but it’s looking better. It’s been a very long 10 days.

Thanks for asking Sue . We’ve been to the vets tonight and they are really happy that the injury is healing at last. We are able to let her off lead, but not let her run like a looney . They clearly don’t know labs very well!! I’m going to take her to my work as there is a small field that she can play in, without any other dogs.
